If you want to keep things simple, you can finish the Yatra without spending the night in Kedarnath. This will make the trip easier and more enjoyable.

Tour Plan :
01
Day 1: Haridwar – Barkot (220km/7hr drive)
We drive to Barkot passing through Dehradun and Mussoorie. On the way we halt at the scenic Kempty Falls. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (46km/02hrs drive Each Side)
We drive to Janki Chatti first. From there we trek to Yamunotri (5 km). Horseback or Doli will be at your expense. At Yamunotri you can experience the joy of cooking rice by wrapping it in cloth and immersing it in the waters of the hot Kund. Your prasad is ready!
Later you can offer pooja to Divya Shila beside the temple after a dip in the warm Kund. Return to Janki Chatti and back to Barkot.

Day 3: Barkot – Uttarkashi (106km/4hr drive)
We drive to Uttarkashi via Barkot. Check in at hotel and later visit Vishwanath temple.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (106km/3hrs One Way drive)
We head for Gangotri situated at high altitude of 3048m passing through the scenic hamlet of Harshil valley. The Bhagirathi river here is a sight to behold. Breathtaking views of the Himalayas will elevate your soul. After Gangotri darshan we return to Uttarkashi.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Sitapur/Rampur (230km/8hrs drive)
We leave Uttarkashi after an early breakfast and head for Sitapur via Guptkashi.

Day 6: Sitapur – Kedarnath (02km by road and 22km trekking 8-10hrs)
By Helicopter: Report at Guptkashi/Phata/Sirsi Helipad at the time notified earlier. Flying time is 15 minutes
By Trekking: Start early at 3am and drive 02km to Sonprayag. Travel by shared jeeps to Gaurikund. If you enjoy trekking you can do the 22km to Kedarnath and enjoy it thoroughly. Overnight at tent in Kedarnath.

Day 7: Kedarnath – Sitapur/Rampur (22km down trek and 02km by road 10-12hrs)
We leave early after temple darshan to trek down to Gaurikund and reach Sonprayag by shared jeeps. Return to Sitapur and overnight at hotel

Day 8: Sitapur/Rampur – Pipalkoti (140km/8hrs drive)
We drive to Chamoli/Pipalkoti via Chopta and Ukhimath. Check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Pipalkoti – Badrinath - Pipalkoti (75km each side/04hrs drive)
Pilgrims visit Badri Vishal early in the morning after a bath in the hot spring Tapt Kund. Other significant tourist sites are Mana village (First Indian village before China border), Vyas Gufa, Mata Murti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the ‘mukh’ of the Saraswati and disappearing in patal. Return to Pipalkoti and overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Pipalkoti – Haridwar via Rishikesh (135km/8hr)
After breakfast we head for Rishikesh. The entire day is there for you to explore are Rudraprayag confluence, Dhari Devi temple, Devprayag confluence. Other attractions in Rishikesh are. Ramjhula and Lakshmanjhula, Jankisetu. Watch Ganga Aarti in the evening at Parmarth Niketan. Overnight at hotel.
Other attractions in Rishikesh are, Swarg Ashram, Gita Bhavan and Sivanand Ashram.
