The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most important Hindu pilgrimages. It includes four holy sites: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Starting in Haridwar, the gateway to the Himalayas, this spiritual journey gives followers a perfect mix of divine and stunning natural beauty. If you want to keep things simple, you can finish the Yatra without spending the night in Kedarnath. This will make the trip easier and more enjoyable.

Tour Plan

Day 01: Haridwar-Mussoorie-Barkot ( 200 km, 07 hrs drive)

You can drive 200 km to Barkot/Syanachatti and stop by Mussoorie and Kempty Falls along the way. Get to Barkot and go to the hotel. Spend the night at the hotel.

Mussoorie, Kempty Falls, and Lakhamandal are all must-see places.

Day 02: Barkot-Yamunotri-Barkot

To visit the temple of Goddess Yamuna, which is on the banks of the river, drive 45 km to Jankichatti and then walk 07 km to Yamunotri. You can take a holy dip in the nearby tank that is filled with hot springs and cook rice in its water, which is what many devotees do. Go back the way you came to Jankichatti. Stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 03: Barkot-Uttarkashi (115 km, 5 hrs drive)

Drive to Uttarkashi after breakfast. After that, go to the famous Vishwanath Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel

Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple are two important places to see.

Day 04: Uttarkashi-Gangotri-Uttarkashi ( 100 km each side, 3 1/2 hrs)

We will go to Harsil, one of the most beautiful valleys in the world, after breakfast. We will stop at Gangnani on the way to take a dip in a hot spring. Take a 22-kilometer (1-hour) drive to Gangotri. When you get there, take a holy dip in the Ganges River, which is also known as Bhagirathi at its source. Do pooja and then relax in the beautiful setting. Come back to Uttarkashi in the afternoon. Spend the night at the hotel.

Harsil, Hot Water Springs at Gangnani, and Gangotri Temple are all must-see places.

Day 05: Uttarkashi - Guptakashi (210 km/8 hrs)

We will go to Guptakashi after breakfast. Stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 06: Guptakashi – Phata-Kedarnath-Guptkashi

By heli: At 5:30 a.m., you will leave for the Guptkashi/Phata helipad to catch the helicopter to Kedarnath ji. The flight from Phata takes about 15 minutes. When you get to Kedarnath ji, go to the Kedarnath temple for the holy darshan. After darshan, take a helicopter back to Phata. Stay overnight in Guptkashi.

By Trek: Start early at 4:00 a.m., drive to Sonprayag, and then take shared jeeps to Gaurikund. From there, you can hire a pony or palki from the government counter. If you love trekking, you can hike 16 km to Kedarnath ji and do darshan pooja at the temple. After darshan, go back the way you came to Gaurikund. Get a jeep to Sonprayag and then go back to your hotel. Spend the night at the hotel.

Kedarnath Temple and Guptkashi Temple are two important places to see.

Day 07: Guptkashi - Badrinath (230 km / 8 hrs)

We eat breakfast early and then go to Badrinath through Chopta, which is one of the most beautiful places we see on the journey. Have fun driving through the wonderful medicinal woodlands. When you get to Badrinath, check in at your hotel. Stay at the hotel for the night.

Ukhimath Temple, Chopta & Narsing Temple in Joshimath are some of the most important attractions to see.

Day 08: Badrinath – Rudraprayag: (165 km, 06 hrs):

We eat breakfast early and then go to Badrinath through Chopta, which is one of the most beautiful places we see on the journey. Have fun driving through the wonderful medicinal woodlands. When you get to Badrinath, check in at your hotel. Stay at the hotel for the night.

Ukhimath Temple, Chopta & Narsing Temple in the Joshimath are some of the most important attractions to see.

Day 09: Rudraprayag– Rishikesh-Haridwar (165 km, 06 hrs):

We go to Haridwar from Rishikesh after breakfast. Take the train to the hotel or the train station.

Rudraprayag confluence, Dhari Devi Temple, Devprayag confluence, Lakshman jhula, Ramjhula, Geeta Bhawan, Swarg Ashram, Parmarth Niketan, and Shivanand Ashram are all important places to see.

Keep in mind that all sightseeing depends on the traffic.
